지난 2012년 30대 이상의 아르바이트 구직자 중 남성의 분포는 58.9%에 그쳤으나, 전년에는 68.8%로 늘어났고, 올해 상반기에는 70.9%에 달했다. 60대 이상의 아르바이트 구직자 중 여성의 비율도 지난2018년에는 70.6%였으나 지난해(75.0%)에 이어 올해 상반기에는 76.2%로 가장 높았다.
조사결과 '원하는 기간과 요일에 일을 하기 위해서' 초단기알바생를 선호한다는 답변이 복수선택 응답률 66.8%로 가장 높았다. 이어 '학교나 학원, 직장 등 본업과 병행하기 위해서' 장기알바를 선호한다는 답변도 59.2%로 절반이상으로 많았다.
조사 결과 알바생 중 28.3%가 비교적 짧은 시간 일하는 초단기 알바를 선호한다고 답했다. 세부적으로 살펴보면 1주일 미만 근무를 선호한다는 답변은 17.8%였고, 원하는 시간 하루만 근무하는 △하루 알바를 선호한다는 답변은 11.6%였다.
