I noticed a crack in the kitchen window last night, and by morning it had spread across the whole pane. Thankfully, the local hardware store had a piece of glass cut to size, and with some careful work, I pried out the old broken shards, applied fresh putty, and set the new pane in place. It's not perfect, but it keeps the draft out and lets the light back in.
